Pinwheel jar card

I kept this card super Duper simple.  I cut an A-2  top folding card out of the pink card stock.   I rounded the top corners with my corner rounder and a half inch.

I cut Kraft card stock with my Simon says stamp - bundle of stiched shapes to create the stitched rectangle panel.   I then rounded the top two corners of that also with my corner rounder.   I stamped a jar with a rubber jar stamp a special friend gifted me.  I stamped onto a pretty patterned vellum.   I used my SNC2 to cut out around the stamp.   I cut a pretty pinwheel with my spellbinders die.   After gluing it all together I placed a pink Brad in the center.   The double-sided paper I used is from photo play - party girl.   I used some light pink and white bakers twine for the stem that I doubled up and twisted.   I also tied a bow around the jar with the same twine.   And one last touch I added a stitch flag from the Simon says stamp - bundle of stiched shapes that I stamped the sentiment "wish big" which is from craftin desert divas -  short and sweet tags stamp set.  The yellow polka-dot paper is just a scrap from my stash.

Fly toward your Dreams Step card

For this card I used a center step card SVG file from SVG Attic
I cut the 3 mat layers with my pierced rectangle dies.  I used a stitched scallop frame die to cover the center mat.  I added a stitched flag die mat at the bottom and stamped the sentiment and butterflies from HOTP - On Butterfly wings.  The beautiful Eiffel Tower cut is from Cricut - Ultimate Creative Sampler Cartridge.  I cut the pretty butterflies with a Memory box die called Marielle Butterflies.  It is a vine with butterflies and flowers but I just hand cut the butterflies off and used them only.  I kept this one really simple and came from the inspiration of "Never let go of your Dreams"  even if it is to a beautiful place to see some day.

Postage Stamp Beach Scene card

From the watercolor background stitched postage stamp... to the awesome SVG palm tree .... Plus the super cute Cricut cut embellishments.....  I had so much fun creating this scene card.
I started off with a large card base from hot off the press.   I cut a front cover out of the pretty teal blue and ran it through my Cuttlebug, Anna Griffin - climbing rose embossing folder.  Next I took a piece of white card stock and created the watercolor background  by rubbing distress inks (wild honey at the top, mermaid Lagoon in the center and weathered wood near the bottom) on my largest stamping block, spritzing it with water and then placing the white card stock down onto it to get that awesome watercolor effect.   I cut it out with my largest postage stamp die.  I then took some Kraft card stock and used my Craftin Desert Divas - outdoor landscape die to cut the stitched section of sand, I then ran that through with my largest postage stamp die again and then adhered it into place on the bottom area of the watercolor background.  The stitched sun is Die-namics Sunny Skies & the clouds are from a different set of dies.   The adorable palm tree is an SVG file from my friend Cheryl over @ creativekuts.com.   I used my bone folder to score the areas on the trunk, and then went over it with a brown marker, I also inked the edges of the palm fronds with a light green ink.  The flip-flops and the Adirondack chair with the word RELAX  are both from Cricut - life's a Beach cartridge.  I cut the chair with the word twice,  I then cut off the bottom portion of the word on one of them and inked it up in shaded lilac distress ink with a direct ink pad to paper technique before placing it over the top of the original word under the chair.

Relax & Enjoy Turtle Shaker Easel Birthday card

I had so much fun creating this card using some of my dies.

The wavy lines die I used for the kelp.  I used that same die to create the opening on the card front for the Kelp and then added acetate on the back to create the shaker with blue and green sequins.  The awesome stitched scallop frame is from a new die set I just got. The label die holding the Easel up is Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Three.  The adorable SVG file for the turtles is from Cheryl @ creativekuts.com.  Some fun cuts from Cricut Life is a Beach cartridge include the red Coral which I weaved through the kelp like I did with the turtles as well.  The ships wheel is from same Cricut cart which I added the stamped Happy Birthday sentiment which is from HOTP Noteworthy stamp set.  The bottom sentiment I created on the computer and stamped the kelp after I cut with my Mermazing stamp set.  That beautiful background paper is from HOTP, I knew this would be perfect for this card.  All of the solid card stock is Recollections.

Splashing by to say Hi Dolphin Card

I had a fun play with several of my new metal dies today.
I used this awesome puddles of water background die to make this card really pop.  I added a ripple effect in the water by using part of a wavy lines die at the bottom.  I used the largest rectangle from my Simon says stamp - bundle of stitched shapes to cut that all out leaving the nice stitched edge.  I added that on top of a pretty teal cardstock card front base.  The dolphin is also a die cut, I let the eye pop out and added a blue gem for the eye. I adhered the second little cut out below the eye back in place to just give it detail without a hole there (I liked it better).  I added a stitched triangle in the corner which I had printed a digi-stamp sentiment from Pink Cat Studio and cut out with the triangle die.  I colored in the water drops with a blue gel pen and I also stamped the little tiny fish in blue and green from my Mermazing stamp set.

Back to school block/step card

I want to say a big thank you to Die Cuttin Diva's for having me as a guest designer again, this time for Back to School Theme.  Hop on over there and play along in their challenge.  What a fun card to create,  I got this card file from Cheryl over at creativekuts.com
Isn't that pretty pencil girl looking smart and fabulous?
That fun rainbow wave striped paper is from DCWV -  The neon chic stack.  I also used my stitched labels stack dies for the top of the blocks using the same neon chic stack card.
I used diecuts from cuttlebug for my accessories, on the top of the blocks but her SVG file include some pretty cute things to put there.  I used items from Cuttlebug 3 by 3 Cut & Emboss Combo - Mickey School Days.  The open book I cut from Purple card stock and then rubbed with ink.  Both the scissors and the ruler I cut from silver metallic tape.  I forgot to take a picture of the back before sending out, but I computer journaled a cute sentiment and cut it out with my largest stitched square die.

Purple winter wishes penguin card

I had so much fun making this Christmas card in my favorite color purple.
I was really looking forward to using my new die that gives you that beautiful stitched scallop circle cut into your card front.  After embossing the front I rubbed some very light blue ink over the design to show it a little better.  I used some of my old Christmas paper scraps for the purple striped background in the circle and also used a die to cut a stitched snowy hill to perch the adorable penguin on.  I heat embossed the winter wishes sentiment in white and added a couple of pink sequins and a sparkly bottle bead to the center of each.  I added some purple stars that I die cut with my banner die for a different project and I kept the innie stars for later use.  They worked out well for this card, glad I kept them 😊
For the inside I used a digital sentiment and added a glowing frame around the edges of the mat.   After printing I used a stitched die to cut the mat out.  I stamped a star in purple to go along with the stars on the front that I added and in the embossing.

Stitched mat front and Inside -  Simon says stamp bundle of stitched shapes
Darice A2 Ornamental Star, Flake, Bulb Emboss Folder
Sunny Studio Bundled Up Stamp Set for Penguin
Scalloped stitched oval stacks dies
Inner scallop stitched circle
Craftin desert divas stitched outdoor landscape dies

Quilted Christmas tree card

what a fun  design, this could be for so many different type of cards and you can make the pretty pattern change drastically depending on where you place you different colors of paper.
I chose three different Christmas pattern papers from Authentique - Believe collection ... One for the backing and two for the design blocks.   I really like how this turned out.   For this one I used a tree stamp from HOTP Snow Globe Stamp set -   I stamped it in green, I colored it in with the lighter green.  I used my SNC2 to cut out the tree stamp and also a shadow Layer in an Ivory card stock to go behind.  I used gold Stickles for the garland on the tree  and red beads in a bottle to add the ornaments.   Using several diecuts to create the area at the bottom I layered two of the pierced rectangles.   I used the small stitched flag die from Simon says stamp bundle of stitched shapes,  I cut three for each side in the corresponding pattern papers.   I stamped the sentiment from HOTP Christmas Fancy Patterns in Brown Chalk Ink.  I placed a sparkly red rhinestone on either side of the sentiment and placed a red bottle bead in the center of each.

Mermaid Oceans of Love Easel card

I really had a lot of fun making this cute card.   I am a super big fan of purple so I include in my cards a lot.  This blue and purple look wonderful together.
I absolutely love this adorable MFT Mermazing stamp set.  I used my spectrum Noir and colorista markers for the coloring.  For the mermaid skintones I used colorista ivory for the dark shades and FS2 for the light.  For the hair I used TN7 & TN2.  For her top and the star in her hair I used  LV1 & LV2.  For her tail and the turtle are used CG1 & CG2.  The rest of the images and the sentiments are all stamped in either shades of blue and green or dark purple ink.  I used the flop card die to cut the Easel card base from purple.  I used Simon says stamp bundle of stitched shapes for the white (inside) & blue rectangle portions that I ran through my Cuttlebug Tiny bubbles embossing folder.

I used my SNC2  to cut out the mermaid the turtle and the sea plants.   The pretty Oval mat behind the mermaid is  spellbinders Nestibilities - fleur de elegance.   I used 2 Scalloped stitched ovals to pop up for my sentiment,  I also popped up the little swimming turtle ... I love him he's so cute!  I used a wavy border die to cut the water waves.

Friendship Ladybug Card

Hello crafty friends, I hope you were all doing well.   I wanted to use my new stitched trail dies (Lawn Fawn) so I came up with this card today.
I wanted to keep this card pretty simple to accentuate the buzz trails and ladybugs.  The big ladybug is from Cricut - Doodlecharms cartridge but I added the antennas with one of my swirly die-cuts that I cut some swirls from.   The large stitched rectangle is from Simon says stamp – bundle of stitched shapes.   The layered flower is from a die set, I added little wooden ladybugs and a pretty red pearl center for the flower.

On the inside  I used that same stitched rectangle Mat from Simon says Stamp.  The inside sentiments plus the yellow flower are from the same stamp set as the front.  I added another stitched buzz line inside, the  ladybug is a small die ... cut in red and inked over with black.  The white mat is also a die-cut from a frame set.  The red flower trailing stamps are from a stamp set I got years ago from a card maker kit.   Inking on edges both front and inside are with Tim Holtz walnut stain distress ink.

Wishing you a Cool Christmas

For this fun card I used my Favorite Snowflake swirl embossing folder by Darice again, it really sets a great back drop for a Christmas card.  I used Simon Says Stamp dies - Bundle of Stitched Shapes to cut that out with the nice stitched edge.
I used Craftin Desert Divas - Outdoor Landscape Dies for the stitched snow bank.  I cut the Tree from white (largest in set of 3) I ruffled up the edges and went over all of the branches and cut spots with my clear wink of Stella to add some shimmer & shine.  I used a stitched scallop oval die for the sentiment tag and then used my SNC2 to cut the blue shadow behind.  The adorable penguin and sentiment are from  Sunny Studio - Bundled Up Stamp Set.  I also used the 3 Snowflake stamps from that same set to add some heat embossed snowflakes along the hill for just a little more shimmer.
